The Eclipse Regexp Builder Plugin

The Regular Expressions Builder Plugin is Eclipse plugin, that allows to test regular expressions. With that plugin you can to write pattern and immediately view the result of this pattern applied to given expression in Result textbox. You can see result in color mode.

Quick Install
Regexp Builder View Plugin installation procedure is very simple. Just download latest version of that plugin and unpack file content in $ECLIPSE_HOME directory.

To begin with Regexp Builder use menu Window - Show view - Other. In views list find ERG Tools category and select Regular Expressions Builder.

Plugin compatible with both with eclipse versions 3.0 and 3.1.


Screenshots
Regexp OK Background of Result textbox is GREEN. There you also can see result of regexp pattern applied to expression, written in Expression textbox. Your result is text string, that conforms to regexp pattern and group.
Regexp no such group Background of Result is YELLOW and you see there :nosuchgroup:. It means that your Expression matches to regexp pattern, but can't display result, because number of group given in Group textbox is incorrect. For example, your regexp pattern has only 3 groups and you try to select 4th.
Regexp no match Background of Result is YELLOW and you see there :notmatch:. It means that your Expression not matches to regexp pattern.
Regexp error Background of Result is RED. It means that your regular expression has incorrect syntax. Refer to manual and try again.
